“This is a time for big change. Our transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme – the biggest reform since Medicare – is a key reform for people with a disability.”
“We need to ensure that all Victorians have access to safe and inclusive education, employment opportunities and the health and support services they need.”
"We will ensure every young person who goes through our education system knows that we are with them – no matter who they are or where they are."
One of five children raised by a dedicated, loving single father – is not unique. I hear these stories every day as your local member and it’s what drives me to find ways to include, embrace and lift our community.
I watched my dad, with everything else he had going on; make time for his family, his neighbours, his church and most importantly, his local cricket club.
The idea of sticking together, working as a collective for something more than just your own interests became ingrained in me. Looking back now, I know this experience was the foundation for shaping my life.
It’s now what drives me to deliver for you.
This looks like a decent healthcare, accessible to everyone. A public education system, where all kids get the best start in life. A community that celebrates equality and embraces diversity, and a place that respects its past but plans appropriately for its future.
Over the last four years we’ve delivered on our promise to make this community a better, fairer place for all of us. And we’ve got even bigger plans for the next four.
