Parliamentary Committees

Parliamentary Committees allow for in-depth inquiry and public consultation on policy issues before decisions are made in Parliament. They form an important avenue for relevant groups and the wider community to be involved in policy-making through public hearings and submissions to inquiries. Martin is currently a member of the Law Reform Committee.

The Law Reform Committee is a bi-partisan investigatory committee whose role is to look into any proposals involving legal, constitutional and parliamentary reform or the administration of justice, and to report findings and recommendations to Parliament.

Information on current inquiries and membership can be found at http://www.parliament.vic.gov.au/lawreform/
